The policy and ultimate goal of the Socialist Republican Party (SRP)
Socialist Republican Party (SRP) policy statement:
A casteless society is the goal:
The Socialist Republican Party stands for a democratic socialist social order that is ultimately casteless and classless. The important policy of the SRP is to plan and implement constructive programs for the various aspects of the progress of the backward communities, the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, who have been suffering from political, social and educational deprivation for centuries. The problem in India is not economic. Rather, it is caste. But turning a blind eye to caste will not make caste disappear. Only when all castes get equal participation in India, equal rights in wealth and equal status in society, will people stop thinking about caste. The Socialist Republican Party pledges to devise and implement programs to achieve such a state as soon as possible..
The cause of economic backwardness is social backwardness.
The problems facing India cannot be solved by political and economic programs alone. Many of those problems are related to or stem from India's ancient social structure. Caste is the backbone of that social structure. The social degradation fostered by the caste system is the most despicable and cruel that the world has ever seen. But that degradation was not confined to the social strata. It also had the character of economic classes. Traditionally, certain castes had been the rulers. The mainThe ownership of land, the means of production, was reserved for certain castes only. The people called the Tindals and the Avarnas had no participation in the administration or ownership of the land. They worked like slaves and fed others. If there was a pure economic class, movement from one class to another was possible. But in India, where caste is determined by birth, such inter-class movement was completely impossible because caste itself assumed the role of economic class. Neither the Declaration of Independence nor the political activities after independence have been able to bring about this fundamental change, which has existed for more than three thousand years. The general progress of India is held back by the backwardness of the communities at the bottom of the social hierarchy and comprising the vast majority of the population..
The class nature of leadership
We see that the political parties in India, which raise revolutionary slogans and adopt resolutions, fail miserably in adopting those slogans and resolutions. The main reason for this is the communal nature of the leadership of those parties. They prepare beautiful slogans and resolutions to attract the people who are supposed to vote. At the same time, they control the government in such a way that it does not harm the interests of the class they represent or the special privileges enjoyed by that class. This fact can be easily understood if we examine the aims and functioning of agricultural laws, economic institutions, educational reforms, civil service, etc. Only if the backward classes become aware of their real interests and come forward in an organized manner to achieve them can they make a sincere contribution to the creation of a socialist society. Only then will a new political leadership emerge that is naturally inspired to act. The Socialist Republican Party believes that it is the duty of this era to develop such dynamic leadership forces from the masses who have been oppressed and exploited for centuries. The aggressive spirit of upper caste rule, which started from the initial stage of the extreme aggression and grew through the victories of the Ramayana and spread like branches and branches, has become a terrifying and terrifying epidemic through the development and evolution of Gandhian philosophy. The very future security of our political system has been destroyed by the propaganda media, the strong fists and the aggressive systems of the upper caste elite, which cultivates Harijan love as an art form. Therefore, the SRP must work all over India to bring the weaker sections of society and the backward communities together to seize political power to destroy caste-based India and build a socialist India free of caste and colour.
political system
The political ideology accepted by the people of India under the Indian Constitution is democracy, the economic ideology is socialism, and the social ideology is secularism. S. R. P. accepts all three.
1 (a) The party believes that, in principle and practically, the most suitable form of government for us is parliamentary democracy. But democracy is not a form of government; it is also a way of life. It is not right to say that this method is completely familiar. The people must be trained against blind imitation and opposition. Social discipline and sense of justice are diminishing day by day.
Yes. Along with that, the existing political parties are creating enough opportunities for organized groups with fascist tendencies to unorganizedly oppress the people. We are seeing a view that is destroying democracy in the name of democratic centralism. Democracy should be upholding social justice with equality of opportunity
b) Another trend that is weakening democracy in India is the universal disrespect for the rule of law. The party wants to organize a powerful ideological struggle against this trend.
(c) Although the democratic system is prevalent in India, the people have not been properly made to feel that they are active participants in the policy-making and administration of the state. In addition, the uncontrolled increase in the expenditure on election campaigns is also a cause of various forms of corruption. The party's aim is to reform the system of representation and the electoral system so as to remedy these two shortcomings. It is also necessary to include in the Constitution provisions to ensure that the elected representatives are accountable to the people.
(2) Economic ideology-socialism
The party believes that India's economic liberation can only be achieved through socialism. In 1954, the Lok Sabha adopted the Socialist Pattern of Society. Although it was included in the preamble to the Indian Constitution, the bourgeois nature of the government has led it astray from the path to socialism. In this approach, Indian political parties have also been led astray. The idea of socialism is the liberation of mankind. The party believes that it is for the sake of. Gandhis and Indian Marxists do not seem to have such a life, purpose or idealism. Gandhis are busy trying to assassinate Gandhiji again. Communists are forgetting everything in their attempt to bury Marxism. The new generation of Indian politicians has come under scrutiny of the leadership. This has become a major threat to the very existence of Indian democratic socialism. The socialist social order is rapidly changing and the main objective of the Socialist
Republican Party is to mobilize the backward communities including the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes as the vanguard of the people's struggle and to lead them. The flesh of our flesh, the bone of our bones. The blood of our blood and the heart of our hearts can only be found in democratic socialist thoughts. We can only take India away from the path of political uncertainty that is digging the grave of the democratic socialist social order through political maturity and an uncompromising struggle against divisiveness.
Secularism
S. R. P. stands for the realization of our national concept of secularism or secularism. For this, we have not yet received a greater thought system than the ideals of Sree Narayana. If we study all religions with compassion, it will be clear that it is meaningless to say that one religion is superior to another. Therefore, the position that "even if it is a secular religion, it is enough if the person is good" is acceptable to the intelligent people. That is true secularism. There, national integration and emotional integration are all possible. At this historical juncture, when the government is cultivating and developing new horizons of the old philosophical code of Hindu revival, it is leading to the economic system of medieval India with the remnants of extreme decay. The people need to stand up to the political parties and leaders who are doing the same. The perception that the Left political movements are staying away from the guidelines of Hindu revival has been created by a clever smokescreen. The Left movement in India, which is dominated by the upper caste elite and has a majority of representatives of the advanced communities, is inextricably linked to the extremes of Hindu revival. There have been many instances when, in the formulation of diplomacy, they have tried their best to compare the dilapidated documents of medieval India with the soul of India. The mistakes are not overnight mistakes. They are the outpouring of the accumulated dirt in the political arena here for more than a century. A game of hide and seek is being played out here beautifully by the fascists and Marxists together. The Indian political sphere is about to collapse into a system of oppression to suit them. S. R. P. is determined to fight against this and achieve secularism
Financial problems
1. All commodities, including rice, are experiencing a huge price hike. Even after a quarter of a century of planning, 40 percent of the population remains well below the poverty line. Bold planning is needed to properly utilize the people's labor force and increase production.
2. Agricultural reform and industrialization are two essential tasks for economic development and poverty alleviation. Land tenure should be abolished, ownership of agricultural land should be vested in the genuine farmer, and the limit on the amount of land that can be held by each family should be fixed. In Kerala, much progress has been made in reforming the land tenure system. However, the surplus land The problem of land distribution has not been solved. In the other two states, the progress of land reform is not at all satisfactory. This is a scene that clearly shows the feudal nature of the administrative leadership.
Agricultural development
The second facet of agricultural development is the modernization of agriculture. The rate of agricultural production in India - especially the rate of production of food items - is much lower than the world average. At a time when population is soaring, production can be increased significantly only with the help of modern technology. But modernization must be controlled in such a way that the employment opportunities of the villagers are not lost. Irrigation facilities must be expanded on a large scale. After the Five Year Plans, there is a criminal negligence in this field too. Facilities should be created so that all farmers can get proper access to fertilizers, pesticides and good seeds at reasonable prices. There should be a system for the real farmer to get money at low interest rates. Today, the big players are grabbing a large share of the benefits that the government claims to be providing for the farmers. It is also necessary to ensure that agricultural produce gets a fair price. It is also necessary to devise a crop insurance scheme.
Industrialization
It would be a big mistake to take Western countries as a model in terms of industrialization. First of all, the situation prevailing in the world today is not the same as when those countries entered the industrial age. Our production processes should be mainly aimed at the domestic market. Industries should be labor intensive. (Labor intensive) Increase leisure time, not reduce employment opportunities.
Machinery should be used to reduce the number of workers, to reduce physical fatigue, to increase the quantity of production and to improve its quality. To solve the problem of complete unemployment of millions of people, cottage industries and small industries should be developed through comprehensive planning. They should be prevented from having to compete with large mechanized industries for their survival. It is necessary to reserve production sectors. For example, if production sectors such as textiles and soap are fully or partially reserved for small cottage industries, unemployment can be solved to a large extent.
Unemployment benefits
1. It is the indisputable duty of the state to provide employment to every citizen who is able to work. Poverty alleviation is impossible in a social system that does not recognize the right to work. Therefore, those who are physically or intellectually capable of working should be provided with suitable employment and those who find employment should be provided with unemployment benefits.
2. An important objective of planning should be the equitable distribution of wealth. In a country like India, rapid economic development can be achieved only through equitable distribution of wealth.
3. A wage structure linked to production, subject to a national minimum, should be devised and implemented in every industry. The fragmentation of trade unions for the narrow aims of political parties should be prevented by law. The working class is still being exploited in various ways. Even the political parties that claim to be of the working class are The reason for this is that the majority of the working class belongs to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, which are subservient to the interests of the upper caste that leads them. The Socialist Republican Party, which fully represents that group, will stand with them and work for all their rights.
Social Justice
Social justice depends on equality of opportunity. Economic equality and security are the main features of socialist planning. But as mentioned earlier, for historical reasons, some other mechanisms are also necessary for social justice to be achieved in India. The Harijans and other backward communities, as communities themselves, have to be uplifted first. They were kept apart on the basis of caste. On those grounds, they were denied admission to educational institutions and government services. Backward communities like Ezhavas, Latin Catholics, Muslims, Vishwakarmas etc. are also marginalized on the basis of community. A scientific solution to this social need has to be found on the basis of community itself.
Above all, the government office is the seat of administrative power. Although it may seem that the ministers are running the government, in reality it is the bureaucracy that is running the government. It is still under the clutches of the upper caste and the progressives. If there is to be liberation from it, there must be a worthy representation of the backward communities in the bureaucracy. As long as the idea of inferiority, which is the unfortunate offspring of caste discrimination, persists, socialism in this country is just a mirage. Social justice will not dawn. The backward communities will not be able to There is no point in chanting the mantra of socialism here if the social justice that creates the conditions for rising together with the masses is not realized.
Caste discrimination-inferiority
No political party has been able to destroy the caste system, which is a hindrance to all kinds of progress of the nation. It is not possible to eradicate the stigma of caste differences without implementing the principle of 'one caste'. The system of one caste for all human beings should be implemented by appreciating human values. But this principle can be felt in practice only when all communities are integrated. The only way to achieve this is through intermarriage, which is socially and politically accepted. Therefore, all kinds of incentives should be given to make intermarriage universal. An environment should also be created for couples who enter into intermarriage to live peacefully and happily in the community.
Conclusion
The Socialist Republican Party stands for all oppressed sections of the people. It is not against any community or cause. Taking into account the reality of communal oppression, the party dedicates itself to solving the political, economic, social and cultural problems facing the country and establishing a casteless and classless socialist democratic system.
